Tara Jenkins is a photographer and writer whose creative journey has taken her across continents. After two decades living in Hong Kong —where she worked for the South China Morning Post before founding her own photography business—Tara has now returned home to London, England. Here, she has relaunched her photography studio, guided by the same enduring passion: capturing images that are beautiful and deeply personal.

“When I photograph children,” Tara says, “there’s always a moment of magic — the instant when that spark of mischief or wonder lights up their eyes. I’m not drawn to stiff poses or practiced smiles; I’m searching for something more natural. As a mother myself, I know how infectious a child’s energy can be, and I try to let that joy flow through my photographs”.

With more than sixteen years’ experience as a family photographer, Tara brings patience, playfulness, and empathy to every shoot—creating a relaxed session that allows genuine emotions to shine through.
